The LCU&SA Annual Dinner will return after 3 years due to Covid-19. It will be held in Terenure Cricket Club on Friday, November 11th 2022.
A number of awards will be presented on the night:
The President’s Award, given by the President of the LCU&SA to a member of the Association for their outstanding contribution to the Association and match officiating in Leinster.
The Dickie Spence Award, given for fair play in the top two divisions of open cricket and the top division of women’s cricket and their associated cup competitions. The award is based on nominations from umpires.
The Sean Pender Award, given for fair play all other divisions of open and women’s cricket and their associated cup competitions. The award is based on nominations from umpires.
The Liam Keegan Award, given for the best New Umpire of the season.
The Bill Frindall Award, given for an outstanding contribution to scoring in Leinster cricket.
The Long Service Awards will also be presented to a number of members.
We would encourage as many people to be there as possible; the dinner is not restricted to members, so please feel free to bring guests. It has been a long time since we have been able to gather in person and all the more important for those of us who toil in ones and twos on pitches and in scoreboxes to be able come together as a group. We hope that it will be an enjoyable celebration.
A booking form is attached and I would be grateful if you could get back to me as soon as possible if you intend to come so that we can confirm the numbers for catering purposes, please send replies to lcusasecretary@gmail.com
