Leinster Cricket Umpires and Scorers Association (LCU&SA) would like to announce the following courses that will be held in coming months.
It’s Your Call – Umpire Education Stage One
This is designed to give you an overview of the basic Laws of the game and how to apply them and introduce the principles of field craft and match management. It will give you the tools to enable you to umpire matches at the basic recreational level where there are no independent umpires appointed.
This year course will be held online and would run across 4 weeks. Each session will run for around 2 hours.

It’s Your Call – Umpire Education Stage Two
This course is designed to give you further knowledge and skills to enable you to become a member of a league panel and is available if you have attended and completed Stage One. It will complement that course by looking beyond the basic laws, build on field craft and match management techniques and introduce the concept of working, as a team, with a colleague.
Please note that you need to complete both Stage-1 and Stage-2 to stand in as an umpire.
This year course will be held online and would run across 4 weeks. Each session will run for around 2 hours.

- Name
- Phone Number
- Your Club Name
- Proof of payment of the Fee for the course.
- The Candidates must register and complete The Laws of Cricket online course at https://laws.lords.org/course/view.php?id=80
- You need to complete both Stage 1 and Stage 2 to stand in as an umpire.

5. Members who have completed Stage-1 ( or Old Level-1) and wants to do Stage-2 course only can do so, fee would still be 15 EUR.

Hi..it asks for name of club… Do you have to be a member of a club to apply?

Hi – no, you can become an umpire regardless of club affiliation. Please put ‘none’ under club. Thanks

Having problems paying for the course. My bank requires name of Payee and it tells me the IBAN is incorrect. Is there an easier way to enrol??

Thanks for your interest. You need to complete Stage-1 before sitting in the Stage-2. Can you please let me know if you have already completed Stage-1 and have a certificate?
